The CMAS Age Group World Championships, held in Hobart from July 13-22, was a great success and a fantastic showcase for Australian Underwater Hockey. Well done to the Victorian based players who participated.
Caterina Alleway was a key member of the silver medal winning U19 Women’s team. Roy Trumble and Tom Robinson both had great competitions with the U19 Men’s team who placed fourth. Sarah McBeth-Kirton, Emma Le-Mar and Stephanie Wickham represented the U23 Women’s team which finished 6th and was coached by Victoria’s Nina Barry-Macaulay. The U23 Australian Men’s team placed 5th.
